LET'S M.O.V.E
Let's Move is a fundraising campaign run by Mamre Oaks to raise funds for our social mission to care for adults aged 16 and above with intellectual and developmental disabilities who require a higher level of support.
This campaign will be running from July to December 2021.

WHAT DOES M.O.V.E stands for?
MAMRE OAKS VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE
Let's M.O.V.E is our 3rd fund raising campaign in our 6 years of operations and our very first virtual movement.

Why Let's M.o.v.e?
The idea behind the name Let's M.O.V.E is to encourage the public to join us in the movement of moving with our members and many others alike. Also, most importantly, we want to take this opportunity to encourage and support caregivers living with adults with intellectual disabilities to move along too!

RUNNING A FUNDRAISING WITH INTENTION

As our tagline goes, "We can all come together to MOVE BARRIERS, MOVE LIVES & MOVE BEYOND STIGMA", we hope we can successfully deliver our intention through the the 3 E's:

1. ENCOURAGE INCLUSIVITY
2. ENGAGE INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS TO BE ACTIVE
3. EDUCATE THE PUBLIC
TACKLING STIGMATISATION
&SHIFTING PERSPECTIVE
Although stigmatisation continues to persist in this day and age, we have seen significant shifts in how our local media has shine a torch in bringing awareness about the diverse needs of adults with special needs. With a collective effort, we hope we can move beyond stigma and create a kind and mindful community for those with such invisible disabilities so that they can feel welcomed and have the opportunity to progress together with our society.

JOIN US IN OUR MOVATHON
FROM JULY TO SEPTEMBER 2021!
Regular movement is important for our members to help keep their mind active, stay engaged, and improve their psychological and physical well-being. At Mamre Oaks, activities are planned with the members' needs in mind to encourage them to move.
From July to September, as part of our Let's M.O.V.E campaign, we will be running a movathon, where YOU can participate virtually by moving! You can dance, run or walk! Get your friends along to move too and encourage caregivers and adults with special needs to be apart!
DONATIONS
This year, we have set a target of $150K from our Let's Move campaign which we will be running from July to December period. All funds received will be directed to support the operations of Mamre Oaks to care for adults with intellectual disabilities.
