Join us in our MOVATHON along with your friends, families and colleagues to walk, run or even dance with us!

The purpose of MOVATHON is to encourage caregivers and individuals living with special needs to move and exercise. A good and simple workout whether at home or at a nearby park not only helps them in their fitness, but also their mental health.
LET'S SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER TO GET ACTIVE
YOUR PARTICIPATION WILL ENCOURAGE OTHER FAMILIES WHO ARE CARING FOR ADULTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS TO TAKE THAT SMALL STEP!

Building an inclusive environment has always been part of our mission. We hope to close that social gap by moving barriers, moving stigmas and moving lives through advocating for individuals with special needs and building a community of support.
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE MOVATHON?

Be a part of our MOVATHON at your own time and pace, and all in 3 simple steps! Are you ready?

STEP 1: SET THE INTENTION & LET'S MOVE!
Move in any way you want – jogging, sit ups, push ups, dancing, zumba, kick boxing, you go with your flow!
Move with the intent of being a part of an impact for someone living with special needs or creating an inclusive community or a family member who is living with special needs. Your intention is going to be a form of encouragement for someone else.
STEP 2: TAKE A SELFIE / short video clip!
Before, during or after your MOVE, take a selfie or a short video clip and share a post!

STEP 3: SPREAD THE WORD, SHARE THE CAUSE

Considering this is our very first virtual campaign, we will need to gear up our efforts to spread awareness of getting more people onboard to MOVE with intention! Spread the word to your family, friends, colleagues or neighbours and encourage one another to move!
Your participation in our campaign will encourage many more individuals living with special needs and their caregivers to move along as well!

This year, Mamre Oaks targets to achieve $150K at the end of our campaign this December. All proceeds will go to supporting our operations at the centre to care for our members who are living with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
